Description: This window belongs to a gentleman that I met who is packing up shop and moving away. He is a seasoned veteran of stained glass, a very skilled craftsman. He acquired the windows while doing restoration work for the Hammond Street Congregational Church in Bangor, Maine. My Cosigner was restoring a window in the church whan they moved the organ and found them in a storage closet at the congregation. There were 4 windows that were stored, my consigner restored 1 for them in exchange for the other 3 windows that were remaining. He sold 2 others that were from a different maker and took the time to restore the window here in this listing 15+ years ago. The window has been hanging in his shop for the last few years, and now that he is moving and downsizing, he wants to sell. The window is unsigned, has been restored back to Near Mint condition. This is original cathedral glass from the mid-1880's with provenance paperwork from the Board of Trustees and documenting the exchange between the congregation and my consigner. The window measures 51 1/2" X 72" with the frame, the frame is 5 inches. The work and art is breathtaking and will be sold to the best reasonable offer received.
