Description: This is a hard-to-find piece in the "Contempo" pattern with turquoise color by Kasuga. It is a large, round serving platter, or chop plate. There are colorful drops on an ivory-colored, textured plate with olive green accents. It measures about 12 1/4" in diameter.
On the underside is the Kasuga backstamp. Stamped in dark is:
Contempo
KASUGA
JAPAN
Hand-painted
This is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or other defects that I can determine. In fact, this looks as if it has been on display, rather than used. There is only trace evidence of contact with silverware.
