Description: Handel Signed Etched Heraldic Glass Lamp 1924. A Handel Table Lamp with a 18 inch diameter shade signed “Handel 7463” and bronze 3 arm light base numbered “6691” This exact lamp and shade appears in the 1924 Handel Catalog. The base has a crystal insert and stands on four lion paw feet. The shade consists of four panels, each with frosted ice ground and overlaid with deeply etched amber square lattice, two panels further overlaid with fired colored glass and reverse painted and exquisitely etched with a mounted Knight and the other side a fired color glass Heraldic Shield. Very beautiful, extremely labor intensive and simply outstanding. This is a very scarce and completely original lamp, save for the wiring and bulbs of course. The overall height is approx. 25 inches. The shade is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks to the glass, the bronze with original patina as pictured and excellent working condition.
