Description: This is a fabulous Georgian Child's Secretary Slant Front Desk in solid mahogany. This beautiful, fine quality piece is 3/5th's scale of an authentic Georgian period desk. It measures 25.5"H x 28.25"W x 13.5"D - writing surface is 18" above the floor (when opened). It has dovetailed drawers & brass knobs - 5 large drawers in lower case & 11 small drawers & 1 door inside the desk - with an ivory scrimshaw medallion. It has excellent workmanship & fine detailing throughout. The stain of the wood tone is a rich walnut (photos appear more cherry/reddish than it actually is). We are uncertain of it's exact age.
