Battery-operated and remote controlled, Flashy Jim was made in collaboration by the SNK (Shin Nichi Kogyo ) toy company and the Sankei Corporation in the 1950s.

The Flashy Jim robots I've seen for sale online are in the expensive bracket, $100 plus and more.
