OMG!! My local television news, and paper has done me wrong! Never did I see broadcasted that the Museum, which
I last attended in April, 2009, was closing!! May the
"Happy Trails" always guide the Roger's families, and their
family of performers. LOL.

My favorite was and will always be..The Lone Ranger,I grew up living on top of a store,,a rail road flat..bathroom in the kitchen and my room in the center of the hall..no privacy at all,but I painted and drew and listened to my hero. It was not till years later I found out Brace Beamer was a genuine hero in his own right..enlisting at age 14 and being in the trenches for some 111 days straight...when they found out how young he was he was quietly discharged and thus became the youngest wounded vet of WW1!!! I still have some LR radio premiums and a signed photo of him..My political hero is Teddy Roosevelt and I was told by Fred Friendly that he was the model in many ways for the Ranger!...look up on that hill, waving ...on that white horse............

With admiration, I both appreciate and share your fond tribute and salute to an era and season since long gone. Aware of its pending closure, coincidentally, I (finally) visited the Roy Rogers museum in Branson this past weekend. For the three and a half hours I was there (I very much took my time), I felt "at home" immersed in my own nostalgic, youthful time warp. Long overdue, I will forever cherish the memories from my visit and the opportunity to view -- up-close and personal -- this deserving tribute and collection that represented my childhood hero. Meeting and taking a photo with RR Jr. wasn't too bad either!

Happy Trails!
