james kria was my grandpa i think he died in 1998 and he alwase put things on backwards or up side down one time he put a stearing wheel on up side down he died from lung cancer

I’m from the netherlands an was wondering if you have more information about this unit the 401 glider division. i adopted a grave in Margraten. i’m very interested in what the unit did during ww2.

You are correct. The ribbon bar is reversed, but this is exactly how it was received from the veteran. Notice in the image the ribbon bar was secured (by Kriha) with black thread because of a damaged clasp.

I left his awards as received so as not to disturb the historical integrity of the group.

Could you turn the ribbons around so they’re in the right order? Pvt Kriha I’m sure wouldn’t be caught dead with his ribbons backwards.
