I just inherited a oil lamp that was my grandmother's and the wick is really in bad shape. The only marking's I see is on the twist knob for the wick. The says. Aladdin Type B lamp, USA, Chicago. Can you tell about when this lamp was made? It has a clear base and oil sections with ivy or flowers ingraved on the glass. The wick system is brass and the shade is of milky white with a single clear globe in the middle.
