Just went to HR website and read about his pet peeves, specifically BID RIGGING. It was very interesting and informative. I wonder if there is an article out there about unscrupulous auctioneers who have Fake Bidders, or Self Bid on merchandise ( knowing they will get an automatic discount of at least the buyers premium and their own commission fee deducted from the item), or have unbelievable high Buyers Premiums ( 25 % and more). Perhaps the auctioneers association should make it MANDATORY for auctioneers to announce at the beginnings of sales and openly post an announcement that they are planning to bid on items and they will be using Bidder Number #____ in the event that they bid.
