If it wasn't for mothers in the early 1970's I don't think there would be a classic comic book market. If your friend was buying Spidey in the 60's it was Amazing Spider-Man at the time and #2 can sell for upwards of $10,000.00. Mind you that's in Near Mint condition and there only might be a few of those in that condition in existence. Even in bad condition Amazing Spidey sells for $400.00 - $500.00. I'd tell your friend to start digging and send me a pic when he finds it.

Hello Matt,

In the 60s a friend of mine bought SPIDERMAN #2. Not sure he still has the comic or, if he does, what condition it's in. Just curious, for my own sake, what that comic would be worth today. Wish I could find out about my own 60s collection--I bought at least five comic books a week when I was a kid--but my mother threw it out when I went to college!

Matt - I can't see a way to attach pictures to this reply. So a few days ago I just clicked on reply to the email I received from Worthpoint w/your comment and attached pictures of 2 Spidey comics that way. But I don't think it got to you. So can you or someone let me know? Thanks.

Feel free to email me some scans of your Spidey comics and I could give you an idea of what you've got at least. If they are in good shape Ebay would be your best bet and I'd be happy to give you some pointers to help your sale.
Some of the other titles, Thunderstrike, Steel, and the Nightman might not be worth your time. They were very heavily over-printed comics from the early to mid-90's and there just isn't much demand for them.

I don't know anything about comic books but do have some old ones, Spider Man 131 April 1974 and 89 October 1970. these have been read and are not pristine but look good to me. How do I find out where to sell them and how much to ask? I have others too but not Spider Man but Reggie and Me 1974, Archie 1974, Plop 1974, and 1994's Scarface, Steel, Batman, Hulk The Night Man, Srangers, Thunder Strike. Do I just put them on eBay? I have no idea. Thanks for any advice you are willing to give me.
