There are a lot of modern-made fakes on the market with funnel-shaped pieces being used as findings. Those hatpins shouldn't fool anyone except for the most inexperienced of collectors. Period findings while varied are still fairly unique to the hatpin era and are the number one clue to a hatpin being a fake. Know your findings!
