Hi~ I have a 8 by 10~ish Glass plate negative of what looks to me as it could possibly be drawn by Audubon’s..?? My Husband & I were cleaning out an attic & we found 41 glass plate negatives very very old buty in GREAT SHAPE~!! :) Anyone care to take a look at this? Its NEVER been seen by the public before. Did Audubon also do childrens books for a little while? I read he did but not too many though…Its a black & white drawing taken in the mid to late 1800′s…Its a picture of the actual drawing on like the old canvas paper that artists used back then. I also read that the old artists would carry around these little books of canvas paper, actual books, & if they saw something that caught their eye they would take out the book & draw it. So when this all ready OLD picture on this glass plate negative was taken, tells me that the reason it was taken was because it was old back then when the glass plate of it was made..? If anyones interested please email me kimbers1965@gmail.com & I’ll send you a pic of it…Thnx~ ~Kimberlyn~ :)

John - The values of the smaller versions of the set vary greatly depending on publisher, date of publication, edition, condition and several other factors. There were many smaller sets produced and more information would be needed. I suggest using the "Ask a Worthologist" feature under the "Research Your Items" tab on the WorthPoint home page. After submitting the necessary data about your set and some representative photos, you will be able to get a true valuation. Good luck!
