There are many collectors of Teddy Roosevelt buttons. You should have someone tell you if it is an original or a reproduction. Auctions like Anderson-Auctions.com or Old Politicals.com, or Hake.com frequently sell Teddy Roosevelt buttons.

I have a very nice Teddy Roosevelt button and wonder at its worth and could I sell it. I have no one to leave it to and am afraid it may get lost with my passing.

Collecting political items has never been very difficult for me. Posters, books, ephemera, presidential items can easily be understood as to value, rarity and condition.

But, political buttons are a whole other animal. Because of the sheer numbers of political buttons either historical or contemporary and the sheer number of variations even between the same button, it was difficult to always understand the collectibility of political buttons easily. For that I rely on those with more expertise and that means John Olsen, among others.
