My son’s school is celebrating President’s Month and before the month has ended I would celebrate by showing some presidential engravings or photos in my collection.

An early George Washington, our first president, steel engraving by G. R. Hall with his signature and official items, including a nice thirteen star flag in the background, dated 1856.

President John Adams is featured from an original portrait by Gilbert Stuart, dated 1857.

Our third President, Thomas Jefferson, with his signature at the bottom, dated 1856.

President Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president, holding a copy of the Emancipation Proclamation, dated 1870.

A most unusual stereview image of President William McKinley, our 25th president, sitting at his desk with the Army presidential standard in the case behind him, c. 1900.

President William Howard Taft, our 27th president, in this official photograph, dated about 1910.

An official undated portrait of President Woodrow Wilson, our 28th president, by George Barrie’s and Sons, probably about 1915.

President Dwight David Eisenhower, the 34th president, is featured in an official Inaugural photograph inserted into the Inaugural program, c. 1950s

An entire deck of cards were created that featured the life of John F. Kennedy, our 35th president, including this image of his inauguration on January 20, 1961 which also featured the 36th president Lyndon B. Johnson.

An official White House photo of President Jimmy Carter, our 39th president, comfortably at work in the White House Library, dated 1978.

President Bill Clinton, the 42nd president, visiting volunteers at the White House Comment Line listening directly to callers in this official White House photo, about 1993. I was a volunteer at the Comment Line myself at the same time, but was off the day the president visited.
