I am not sure Harry has really answered the question. After a barage of what appeared to me to be more musings than facts, he concludes that the "normalcy of collecting" [whatever that means especially in light of his prior columns] is safe for another 50 years. Perhaps this is more of his hope than an insight as that time period would cover his life and his grandkids. This country is becoming increasingly Hispanic and while new citizens may be from different spanish-speaking countries it does not follow that their country of orign diverstiy means that they will become "eurocentric" by default in this country. Also, seeking the American Dream does not mean seeking 1950's collectible toys or colonial revival furniture. Believing that changes are not coming because those changes are not clear is not an answer.
