Greetings.
Let’s step back a minute, gentlemen, shall we?
Please stop blaming grandma! Not all scenarios are the same.
Since my husband & I were in the same age range, we grew up with the same toys/items. I loved them as much as he did. I saved most of his stuff to have my children pass down to theirs. Only to find, that once those items were in their possession, they were discarded. My grandson did not get the chance to see or play with any of his grandfather’s items. It’s not always grandma, it’s the next generation who has no attachment for the items. My kids were not brought up that way either. When I was cleaning out my basement, I found that I could not give the stuff away to anyone. Well, I thank you for this article because I have forwarded on to my kids. Who knows maybe their children will throw out their stuff too, then they will know what it’s like!

That's just what I was thinking! It is because the women outlive the men. When my Dad died I was selling things on EBay. My Mother gave me all these things that were my Dads to sell for her. I was astounded. I bought them all myself and sent her the money!
