o.c.d collectibles,

That last paragraph, don't like being lonely, like being around other business people. I immediately though of Bonanzle.
I think the social aspect of it is what's made it so popular.
The whole site was designed with "community" in mind.

First, I want to say that I really enjoyed your podcast interview with Will! The idea of selling yourself is a good one, and something everyone should consider in any event, part of that decision has to be around knowing "who you are" and what "works" for you in terms of keeping you actively engaged in selling on a regular basis. It's similar to selling out of your home vs selling out of an antique booth where someone else does the selling for you, when you drop off your merchandise and decorate your booth with it!

I rather like being in a community of sellers who do the same thing as I do, or similar...collectibles that fall in the similar price ranges and styles..you know, that kind of thing..

I liked ebay for the same reasons, and the auctions were fun to watch, whether they were someone else's or mine.. it was fun watching the market determine the price, and the effects of designing a template, taking photos and displaying goods using the advice I had taken from other's experiences. This could also be done on your own, if you had the supportive group environment, and others were doing similar things in parallel places...

That being said, I don't know if being alone and selling on my own on a website not linked to any other entity of sellers, is something I would want right now?I would prefer a group of some kind.. Similarly, I would like to chat with others on GoAntiques, where I just registered but have not listed yet (I have some fears of making a mistake and not having my photos show up!LOL) and see what other sellers are doing, get advice from them, see how their sales are, and what items do the best for them.... and ask the usual "stupid questions" that any newbie asks in a newly registered venue!LOL!

By selling alone I know I would miss that..and I know myself well enough to know I don't like being lonely when I am doing business! I like being around other business people!LOL!I guess the social part is supportive??

A penny saved, is a penny earned..(another one of pop-pop's proverbs)
