Hi, Emily;

Where in Massachusetts do you live? The repairs you mention are pretty basic for a qualified repair shop. I would start by Googling the name of your town along with the phrase "violin repair" to see who is in your area. Another approach is to call a local violin teacher and have them recommend someone.

I have a Handmade violin with the orginial case and bow.
Hand written in side is 1889 Feb 6 made by Fred Carroll form
Pen Yen N.York. (Carroll is my maden name)
The violin is missing the bridge, fine tuners , however the tallpiece is on but broken with hardware still attached. It has two pegs still attached, no strings. The back is flamed maple and looks even across with the front grain stright.
There are two hairline cracks on one side in the front.
The case has stamped on the bottom the work ORINGAL with in a circle. The case has all it's orginial hard ware except a key. Inside is like old wallpaper very loose and red velvet very worn. The case shows it ware, could be polished?

I would like to get it repaired but not sure where to go for this, I am in Massachusetts. Can you make any sugguestions for me. Thank you in advance, Emily
