These prints were sold in a number of frames as well as remounted in an owner’s frame, so you will run into all kinds of dates and notations on them. The extra value is more a matter of how good the frame is than the print.

Hi, the back of my angel picture is screwed on and has writing on it and a date, if I remember correctly. I haven’t taken it apart in years. I was wondering if that was common.

The Cupids were all prints of one form or another and based on years of sales results, all sell with in about the same price range, generally less than $50.00 unless in a very good frame.

What a great series! Please continue to keep us (& our loved but misguided relatives) rooted in reality.

Pianos are another item that people mistakenly think of as “if it’s that old it’s got to be worth a fortune.” I think they were manufactured in almost the same quantities as Singer sewing machines! (OK, probably an exaggeration.)

(We’ll leave the Steinways & their illustrious ilk out of the above comment – but you’d better have the ample funds necessary to restore your cherished old Steinway, et al.)
