I have always believed that laughter is the best gift of all . Thank you for the comments on the article . Yes , artificial diamonds are being created under compression machines . We just have to learn how to distinguish the differences . This could be a good story . Sincerely ~~ Edward

Dust to Diamonds

I enjoyed your article about mourning the dead. Did you know that today instead of mourning for twenty years, you can have your loved one cremated and made into a diamond. This might be the ultimate collectible. I'm not sure how I feel about wearing my husband on my finger or around my neck, but I've seen the website which boasts a number of heart felt testimonials.

Some of the comments could be on a skit on Saturday Night Live including: one woman’s comment about her husband, “He was perfect, yet certainly not flawless. I wouldn’t expect his" diamond "to be without flaws either.” The one I liked best was from a woman who wrote, "I know my husband would be very pleased, especially as I didn’t have an engagement ring."

There are plenty of cleverly written articles on the internet making fun of the diamond to dust routine, but I just don't have it end me to laugh, at least for very long, at other people's pain.

Still—when I go, I would like to leave people laughing like Spike Milligan had carved into his tombstone, "I told you I was ill."
