Stunning example of James Audubon's "Ruffed Grouse" in a vivid hand-colored lithograph issued by the History Institute of America in 1937. "Double Elephant" size, professionally matted and framed many years ago and only now removed from the frame to clean the interior of the protective glass. Obtained from the estate of a prominent local family, it's always been protected from direct sunlight and is in excellent condition, presently residing in the office of our 1911 home. Shipping cost will be the responsibility of the buyer, calculated based upon destination and adequate insurance added to the total. To reduce cost it can be carefully packaged without the frame or glass to reduce weight and in fact deserves a better frame.
