This fabulous and extremely large piece of American Art pottery combined with a very early atomizing unit or humidifier made by Walton Industries....the pottery is Zanesville...circa 1940's. It is in remarkable condition for such a utilitarian piece of art pottery!
The color of the top closely matches that of the pottery...it is made of copper.
The pottery is also marked with a "WALTON" tag.
The brass badge on the unit describes the company and the specifications.

and there are several patent numbers.
There are two brass or copper pieces which are placed in the unit and extend into the body of the pottery.
The base is mostly unglazed except for the three small "feet".
Measurements are as follows:
Height to the top = 10"
Height to the top of the pottery =
Diameter at the top = 9 1/2"
Diameter at the widest point = 16 1/2"
It is quite heavy!
This seems to be an extremely rare piece...extremely large pieces like this are sometimes hard to find!
