-Rare Burmese alabaster Buddha's sitting in Mara Vijaya(Buddha touching the Earth), posture on a lotus base. The Buddha's half-closed lids reflect certain conventions of beauty. The curve of the Buddha's meditative eyes, which close against the illusion of the world, conforms the curve of his mouth. Top of the Buddha's head called usnisa,symbol of realization of Nirvana or indicative of supreme knowledge.

Dimension: Height 50 cm., Width 43 cm., and Weight 40 kg.

Condition: Very perfect condition overall (degradation due to its age).
