Louis Macouillard Matson Lines Menu Art - "New Zealand"
This is a Louis Macouillard(1913 - 1987)watercolor titled, "New Zealand" that measures 9" x 12". It was printed as part of the menu on one of the Matson Lines luxury cruise ships which sailed from California to Hawaii in the 1950's.
The back has several listings of wine selections offered aboard the cruise. It finishes with the following quote:
"Nothing more excellent or valuable than wine was granted by the Gods to man."

Old Forester liquor decanter. Glass is rainbow color when held to the light. Found in Texas at a second-hand store 30 years ago. Writing on bottle is gold color. No picture available at this time.
