BLUE DOG DOES THE RED TIE
The name of this print is called BLUE DOG DOES THE RED TIE…. This print was completed for a fund raiser for the "Little Sisters of the Poor". These were done for an event and never sold in galleries! It is #9 of 10 prints! From New Iberia, Louisiana, Cajun Artist George (Blue Dog ) Rodrigue is known for his Blue-Dog series, inspired by Blue Dog's long-deceased childhood pet, Tiffany, whom he poses with other animals and people. Rodrigue had early art talent, and while ill for nearly a year, Blue Dog used watercolors and crayons to pass the time and pave the way to his future. He studied at the University of Southwestern Louisiana and in Los Angeles at the Art Center College of Design. For awhile George Rodrique painted Abstract Expressionist works but then went back to painting that which reflected his own Cajun culture including folk tales and bayou and swamp landscapes.

Majolica Cobalt Pair of Pitchers George Jones?
Majolica Cobalt Pair of Pitchers A stunning pair of vintage Majolica Cobalt Blue pitchers featuring a lovely floral design. These were purchased from a private estate. The former owner was 92 years old and passed away recently. Her son sold these to me and said that his mother had them in her possession "for as long as he could remember". I am not an expert on Majolica items and have tried unsuccessfully to find examples of this style. I believe them to be European but I am not sure. I was also told that they may be by George Jones? They are 7" tall and each are numbered the same on the bottom with a stamped #6026/29 and a hand painted 119 as well. Photo four shows these marks. As well, one of them has some pencil writing but I can't make it out. They are in great condition and I encourage any interested buyers to please ask questions and/or contact me for more photos or information. Thank you for looking and shopping with me! Final shipping costs to be precisely calculated and based on final destination, delivery specifications and insurance requirements. Please wait for final invoice prior to paying. Thanks so much.
