Wilbur Streech signed Serigraph
Wilbur Streech was born in Fullerton, Calif., and graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1936. He worked as an animation artist for Walt Disney Studios where his work on "Fantasia" and "Bambi" led him to his landscape serigraphs. Streech then moved to the east coast where he created some 30 serigraphs, all serene and calm interpretations of nature. Streech personally printed each and every image. He passed away in 1986. Since his death, appreciation and demand for his destinctive serigraphs continues to grow. This print, "Clear Sky" numbered 88/100 and signed in pencil by the artist, reveals a calm day on the shore and reflects a serene solitude with a zen-like quality. Tranquil shades of azure water and sky floating on the tan textured dune draw the eye out over the horizon to infinity. Image size is 14" x 17". The frame is simple stainless silver color metal with screwed in corners. There are a few faint wrinkles on the print where it has settled during storage which would smooth out when reframed. Note that glare on glass from photo makes white spots show in photo. The print will be shipped flat. The frame doesn't weigh much, so it could be included if desired at an increase in shipping cost. Use of PayPal will delay shipping until payment clears the system. International buyers will need to cover any fees, customs duties, taxes, tariffs etc. imposed by their own country. Such costs are not included in shipping charge quote below.

Bronze by Henry Charles Fehr (1867-1940), titled ‘Cold Spring’ and dated 1927.
You are viewing an Estate find bronze by Henry Charles Fehr (1867-1940), titled ‘Cold Spring’ and dated 1927. This statue is in excellent condition with no damage. The bronze has a lovely glowing patina and the piece shows appropriate age overall. The details and craftsmanship are exquisite. HCF and the date are etched into the base. The base is designed to represent rocks and she appears to be poised for flight. The piece has a lot of energy with her beautiful face tilted upward and the appearance of a breeze blowing her hair back. She stands on a black marble or onyx base with two doves at her feet. She measures 4 feet tall. There is also an original foundry stamp in the base. Henry Fehr studied at the Royal Academy in London and the studios of Horace Montford and Thomas Brook. He spent 50 years exhibiting at the Royal Academy and was elected a ‘Fellow of the Royal Academy of sculptors'. He exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1887 and in 1893. He created "Perseus and Andromeda" which in 1894 was selected as a permanent piece on the West Balcony of the Tate Gallery, London. V and A Museum of London have responded that my research on this piece and the sculptor appear to be correct and requested that this be added to their library of known pieces by H.C. Fehr. Mr. Fehr has numerous pieces on display in London including the William Morris Museum. This piece may be viewed at our store, Firefly Antiques, in Norfolk, Va. We will be happy to answer any questions about this piece to the best of our abilities. Please let us know if you would like a shipping quote

This is a breathtaking, swirling caramel slag glass 8 paneled table lamp with a decorative metal overlay of floral and filigree designs. A unique and beautiful feature on this particular lamp is the lighted base that this early 1900's circa lamp has. The base of the lamp is decorated with cameos, floral designs, and fleurs de lis. The key to identifying "true" slag is to look for obviously and richly marbled glass. This lamp is a beautiful example of the early twentieth century Art Noveau slag glass lamps, especially since it has a perfectly functioning, pristine lighted slag glass base. This lamp stands proudly at 22" high. The diameter of the shade is 16” and 12” deep. Circumference of shade is 56”, and 20” at widest part of base. A strong and well-proportioned 4-panel base that is 21” tall and 7” in diameter at the bottom supports the lamp. Pull chains, stamped PAT 9.11, are 8” long. The lamp is in perfect working condition with the original wiring. It casts a wonderful soft glow when lit. The top two circuits have pull chains, and a turn switch on the base at the bottom for the base light. The top is in excellent condition. All glass is intact with no chips, cracks or repairs noted. The base is in excellent condition. No maker's mark found. However, it is definitely an original, antique slag glass lamp and made by a quality company. This is an exceptionally beautiful antique. It is a wonderful example of early twentieth century lighting. I will charge exact shipping cost only, no handling charges. Lamp will be packed and shipped professionally, or it can be picked up in Fort Worth, TX, or other arrangements may be made. Payment is due within 5 days of end of auction. I accept Paypal, check (wait to clear), or money order. This item must be insured and will probably be shipped in two boxes.
