This is a hard-to-find piece in the "Contempo" pattern with turquoise color by Kasuga. It is a large, round serving platter, or chop plate. There are colorful drops on an ivory-colored, textured plate with olive green accents. It measures about 12 1/4" in diameter. On the underside is the Kasuga backstamp. Stamped in dark is: Contempo KASUGA JAPAN Hand-painted This is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or other defects that I can determine. J. Chein 1950's Crayon Box. Very good condition
This is a 1950's J. Chein Crayon Tin with children coloring pictures on the top, sides, and front. I LOVE THE DETAIL OF THIS ITEM. THE CHILDREN ON THE BOX HAVE THE SAME CRAYON TIN. It measures 6.25" wide, 4" deep, and 4.5" tall. The front of the tin reads CRAYONS while the sides read 123. There are some slight scratches and scuffing to the litho, but no major scratches or chips. No major dents , very nice piece considering the age and what the intended use was. This is similar in style to the old recipe boxes only larger. The bottom shows the most wear.
