GERMAN IRON CROSS, 1939, in PACKET of ISSUE

The Iron Cross is made in a die struck, 3-piece, iron and alloy construction fashion. The cross features a single piece core and a 2-piece alloy frame. The obverse features an embossed, high relief, central, canted, Swastika with the reinstitution date, "1939", to the bottom arm. The reverse bottom arm has the embossed original institution date, "1813." The Swastika is in high relief while the dates are lower. The black wash to the center is approx. 100%. The nickel/silver plated frame retains a beautiful, uncleaned patina. The medal loop and ribbon suspension ring are both intact. It comes complete with an approx. 1 3/16" piece of ribbed ribbon. It is an historic collectible in its original paper packet. The packet is marked "Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse 1939" "Rudolf Gowal (or Gouval), Wien, 62/VII (or 02/VII)" The overall condition is very fine, mint! PayPal or J.P Morgan Chase certified bank check only (or other reputable bank).
