Description: I have the understanding that this piece was once in a museum. I CAN tell you it is definitely very old. This ceramic crock stands 5 3/4" and has a diameter of 4 1/2". It is a handpainted scene of trees, homes (possibly a church), and some small buildings. In the forefront is a road with two girls that look to be happily skipping. There is a lot of detail. Unfortunately, the only marking is the date on the back, 1744. There are some small chips at the bottom but they pale in comparison to the exquisite beauty of this collectors item.
