J.C. HIGGINS VINTAGE SADDLE

  • Item Category: Antiquities
J.C. HIGGINS VINTAGE SADDLE I believe this is one of the few remaining early 1900’s J.C. Higgin’s saddles made for the Sears & Robuck Co. There are no BA marks on saddle that I can find. Complete with the original J.C. Higgins bucking bronco brand on saddle in front of the saddle horn. The saddle features beautiful floral detailed leather tooling on the skirt and fenders. The leather is still pliable and in great shape for a vintage saddle. Ride able! Stirrups have a heavy stitched leather covering. Still in tact and solid wood tree. 4 leather conchos, (one was replaced) Sheep skin/lamb’s wool liner still thick and fluffy. Left latigo holder needs replacement. Only the top half remains. Front rigging dee and back appear to be heavy brass,…real nice. Skirt/ strings, billet straps, stirrup leathers, fenders, seat, horn everything in nice shape. Comes complete with original front tie downs and leather cinch strap. Ride able and ready to take to the high country or display. A real piece of early Americana. Additional photos available upon request and offers will be entertained. In Shipping we use the safest shipping cartons and cushion with bubble wrap or Styrofoam loose fill as appropriate.
