Description: No, it is not the original 1959 release. I had the opportunity in the 1979s to have my choice of original or 1966 reissue posters; I took the latter and have never been sorry. I think it one of the best of the Hitchcock posters; beautiful color, crop-duster action and Hitch carved in stone on Mt. Rushmore. This is a sought-after item and hard to find. Unfortunate rip and tape repair that can be repaired by restorer. I like it as is.
