Description: This is a gorgeous smaller pepper grinder made of solid sterling silver, repousse decoration of a tavern or cabin scene with three men sitting at a small bench or table, playing cards, a 4th man is standing over them. The decoration is ornate, you can see windows, log walls, items on the table, the cards in the men's hands, the sides and top are decorated with flowers and scrolling acanthus leaves. T are sterling hallmarks along the bottom edge, they look like an HH, a standing or rampant lion facing right and two others that I can not make out. The grinder works are signed on the bottom "Peugeot Freres Lion (France), a well known, very good quality producer of grinders. Condition is very good Size is approx 2.5 x 1.75 wide.
