RARE BURMESE ALABASTER BUDDHA, SHAN STYLE, 17TH CENTURY -Rare Burmese alabaster Buddha's sitting in Mara Vijaya, posture on a twin lotus base. The Buddha's half-closed lids reflect certain conventions of beauty. The curve of the Buddha's meditative eyes, which close against the illusion of the world, conforms the curve of his mouth. Top of the Buddha's head is a Stupa-shaped or called usnisa,symbol of realization of Nirvana. Dimension: Height 43 cm., Width 27 cm., and Weight 16 kg.
