i have acquired two ancient greek bronze statues/sculptures . both these pieces were purchased on ebay.both these items date 11th century.they are free standing greenish or greenish blue.one is a 12 inch solid bronze blacksmith, the other has been cleaned professionally and is solid bronze.a nude male holding bunch of grapes in one hand and a jar or vessel in the other.the bronzes are thin in width, both apparently were salvaged from the sea. the words and symbols are ancient greek. how do i get them authenticated, the y for year is followed only by 11c.?

My father, now deceased, collected MANY pieces of what I believe to be pre-columbian pieces, I have boxes! Most items are clay, but some are stone. He was told they were found in the mountains surrounding Zihuatanejo, where he and my mother traveled frequently many years ago. I am northwest of Chicago and have no idea who to go to for validaton of age, value or anything. I was thinking of donating at least part of the collection in my father's name to a history museum. Any suggestions whom I could contact? Please respond to email. Thank you.

Hello,
Sure I'd be intrested in seeing your arrow points-
they very well may be much older than 1000 years- depends on what type they are.

Cheers!

Interesting hobby. Many years ago my family centennial farm in Bay City, Michigan, was divided and sold and the fields were plowed up. My uncle was there when they plowed up the fields and found several arrowheads and gave them to me. I thought they looked older than Native American era arrowheads so I had a local historian look at them. He told me they are very primitive, some perhaps one thousand years or more in age.
My question is would they be of any value and how much?
