All of your father's marbles are from the late 1940's/ early 1950's and they are all machine made. The yellow and black marbles are called bumble bees and are valued at $2-$4 apiece. The shooter in the middle of the bunch is the best and can be sold for $10-$15. The rest are what we call "stock pile" or "commons" and are about $0.25-$1.00 each - they'd make a nice collection in a jar where you could access them on occasion. Your father left a fine collection from a nostalgic era for shooting marbles. I hope this was a help to you.
Thanks,
Dan
Enjoy them for I have so many I can't count and has been kinda a family joke among us all. Each time a child became interested in playing with them my only rule was if you dump them all out you must then put back when done. No one has ever done it twice... I've had people offer me money for the huge jar and I just think I'll pass to grandkids one day for their memories...
Enjoy your dad's toys...
