    Homer laughlin Platter 1947

I have a china platter The back means says virgina rose L 47 NB. Can some one tell me what the "L 47 NB"means. Is this item of any value. It is old , used but in good condition. Looks like china, bone colored and what could be gold trim around the edges.

Sure; L is the 12th letter of the alphabet and means the item was made in December. The 47 means 1947. And the NB is actually N8, meaning it was made in plant number 8. A quick review of like Homer Laughlin platters from around that time frame in the Worthopedia shows them selling in the $5-35 range. I hope that this is helpful!
