King edward v111 plate 1920 - advice please
Hi,
I have just found an identical plate to the one advertised on the link below in my loft.
I would like some advice on how I would go about getting an up to date valuation and what would be the best place to sell it.
1920 Visit of King Edward VIII to Canada.
Many thanks
Denise

Many thanks for your note. I looked in the Worthopedia and found comp items in the $15-300 range, which doesn't help much. However, the plate that you reference above was sold in 2002 for around $300, but unfortunately the collector's market for most things has nosedived since then. As always, something is worth what someone will pay for it. It probably "values" today in the $100-200 range, but that is just a best guestimate. Perhaps use the Worthpoint "Ask a Worthologist" to take a closer look if you want a tighter range of values. Worthpoint can also help you find the right auction for an item, if you want to explore that option contact Maggie Turnipseed at maggie.turnipseed@worthpoint.com. Cheers!
