What is "Royal Kohl China" history
I found a Royal Kohl China Centerpiece with both candelsticks in perfect condition. No chips, cracks and very little wear. Only $10. There only 3 items of this company that I can find in the archives on this site. All the centerpiece exactly like I found.
My question is this: what is the history of Royal Kohl China? Can't find much about this company.
Bottom says. "Genuine Vitrified/ kohl mfg co. chicago/royal kohl china/ 22 karat china/ hand decorated" in a circle"
Any knowledge of this company?
Circa 1950"s is all I know.
Thankyou,
sandfisher

We don't have any information on this company. The 22K gold marks are fairly modern, chances are Royal Kohl is a importer brand, the pieces made under contract in Europe or Japan after World War Two. The only way to really track down companies like this is to contact local historical societies or search city directories/tax records. Pieces like this though tend to have very modest values and it's generally more effort than it's worth monetarily.
