Buddha carving

I have had this Buddha carving for 40 years, and was trying to figure out
what it is made of,,,maybe the picture of the bottom might help,,,I know
this is hard to do from the pic, but any suggestions would be great.
It is quite heavy

The material looks like a mix of resin and bone. It could also be some kind of stone.
