Selling art on line? Not Ebay?

I have several paintings that I am trying to sell and I am not getting anywhere with my pricing on Ebay. One has a gallery price of $2,500 and no one will give me even $500 on Ebay. It seems like Ebay is only for either extreme bargain hunters and/or people who do not understand what they are buying? Or?

Are there web sites that specialize in selling art work?

Have you considered sending the paintings to auction if indeed they are valued in the thousands?
