Lamp ID help, who the heck is Louis?
With the lamp having a name on it, I thought it would be easy to ID this. But I was wrong.
The body is
10" high
ceramic with 2104 etched on the bottom.
It is signed "Louis" in cursive with a large "L" and rest of the letters in lower case.
I couldn't get a great close up of the signature with my camera. It might time to upgrade the camera.
The artwork is smooth. Would this be transfer ware?????
Except the little white lines randomly placed on the body, these are raised.
$10 resale shop find. Uncertain of age.
I'm wondering, who the heck is Louis?

Well Louis would be the name of the decorator, or the original painter the design was created by. The best way to find out would be to disassemble the lamp, the name of the company that made the vase pedestal is nearly always on the underside of the base. If the company is well known, the possibility of tracking "Louis" down is far greater.
