Can anyone tell me about this platform rocker?

I have had this rocker for almost 30 years. I have always loved this chair, so I finally decided to get it re-upolstered. I was shocked when the refinisher told me he thought it was about 100 years old. Could this possibly be true? He said it has been re-upolstered several times in it's life. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

No, based on what I can see it's unlike it predates 1930. I could verify that if you could post some image of the underside so I can see the rocking mechanism. Most like this date from the 1930's through WW2.
