Antique Copper Wall Sconces ID help
I have a set of 7 antique wall sconces. They're painted black but appears they are copper underneath the paint. I managed to find what resembles a kite or diamond shape near the electrical part of the sconce. Part of the electrical equipment says "peerless." Does any one know any thing about these?

They look like commercial sconces that would have been used in hotels about 1910 from the look of them. The kite shaped marking could be a British registry design marking, which only would have been used until 1883. If you could get a close up of the marking i could probably tell you more about them.
