reprinted Currier and Ives lithograph
I am a self admitted "no nothing" when it comes to this type of topic, so I apologize for my ignorance in advance. I received as a gift from a family member a framed piece with the following info on it: "Reprinted from lithograph by Currier and Ives; Fort Hamiliton; "Staten Island and the Narrows" from Fort Hamiliton; F F Palmer, Del.; Fort Richmond". The gift was just intended as a momento, but I didn't know if it had any value and since my cousin is not well off, I didn't want to accept something of value. I would appreciate any information anyone may be able to provide or access regarding it.
Thanks for your consideration.

No apologies needed..... You came to the right place for advice. It is also good that you
question the value of this print.
If your print was an original currier and Ives prints it could be worth hundreds of dollars, if not more.
The key word is that it was reprinted. You print is a wonderful memento you
can enjoy. It unfortunately has a low
monitory value .Last edited by Maggie Turnipseed; 09-09-2011 at 08:54 PM.
