New Guy Here
Hey all. Just signed up for the site today and was wondering if you had any advice on good places to look and buy antiques/collectables. I'm in N. NJ, 5 minutes outside NYC. I'm interested in "most things antique" and don't really have an idea of what I like until I see it.
Any good places online to look? Ebay? Goodwill? Is there some fantastic antiques site only experts know about? My budget certainly is limited so original Monet paintings and things are a tad out of my league. Thanks for the help.

I have heard the Brooklyn Flea is tons of fun and has great vintage finds.

Welcome! Besides Worthpoint's own GoAntiques I would also recommend Ruby Lane for Antiques ... it's a really great Internet site to browse. As for real world places to look and learn about Antiques, check out Auction Zip. You can personalize a search by radius from your zip code and by Search term(s), and you can sign up for emailed listings of upcoming Auctions and Estate Sales. It's a great introduction to the Auctioneers in your area of the country. Good Luck!
