Your treasure appears to be some type of fossilized turtle shell. This Paleodirect Link describes a fossilized box turtle shell from the Late Pleistocene Period, 100,000-10,000 years ago.

I did notice that your artifact is solid while the online images show more of a hollowed shell. I don't know the significance of that. After you do more research, come back and let us know exactly what you have. I'm curious to know!
