I picked this up at a yard sale because of the wooden box that is beautiful. I have no clue about the instrument. Can anybody fill me in on it, and if it has any value? Thanks.

What this is.... A dial test indicator is primarily used in machine setups. The DTI measures displacement at an angle of a lever or plunger perpendicular to the axis of the indicator. These tools are used to accurately measure small linear distances, and are frequently used in industrial and mechanical processes. They are named so because the measurement results are displayed in a magnified way by means of a dial. They seem to sell/value in the $50-150 range.
Actually, I looked up dial test indicator and understood it's function, but all the ones I've seen on Ebay and other sites are just the Lufkin indicator. I'm trying to find out more about the rest of whay is there. Is it what is called a complete dial test indicator? Thank you for your help.
