Occupied Japan
While cleaning out my Mothers house (as she recently passed away) we found this frog with the stamp of made in Occupied Japan on it but we can't find out anything about this item or what year it may be from. If anyone has any type of info you can give us we would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Made in Occupied Japan covers the period between the end of W.W. 2 and, at the latest, 1955. In the U.S. there are a lot of collectors of work for that period.
Your frog looks like a production piece from a porcelain maker in Japan, the piece being made for export. It has all the hallmarks of being genuine and from the period.

Thanks for the response David, I really appreciate that. Now the job is to figure out what it may be worth and find the right buyer, LOL.
