Could anyone please help me with the value of this Nippon Vase?
I have this Nippon Vase which belonged to my Great Grandmother. I have searched and searched and cannot find this same exact vase anywhere. I think it is pretty rare? It was marked Hand Painted Nippon on the bottom with the leaf stamp. We believe it was from the early 1900's. I am trying to put a value to it? Can anyone help, please? I believe the vase measures approximately 12-13 inches tall.

If it is signed "Hand Painted Nippon" I would put the date at about 1910-1920, more or less. Value, without a closer look, at 150-300$. You probably won't find an exact match in anything but the signature, especially if it is stamp signed.
The decoration type around the handle is called moriage.
which means "raised up", referring the raised nature of the dots.Last edited by David Pike; 05-11-2012 at 05:26 PM.
