Oil paintings really require a physical appraisal to determine origins and authenticity. Most work by listed Artists has been reproduced in form that greatly resemble original oils, there's no way to detemine from an image what you have. That said, generally artwork with a single name signature tend to be "Decorator Art" sold in hotel Conference rooms.
